Getting Ready for the First Day of School
Schools in Georgia start early – my sister and nieces who are in Cobb County started yesterday. When I was visiting my sister last weekend, she dragged me to her school on Saturday to help her finish getting ready for her students’ arrival yesterday morning. She’s gone back to teaching Special Education, so her classroom is small. There didn’t seem to be any shortage of materials, however, and this picture shows my contribution to the effort. I spent the morning cutting out items she had laminated! Number strips, sentence strips, posters, and pictures of children showing a variety of emotions (I suppose she must have some students with behavioral disorders).
