Digital world?

Students today do have the opportunity to reach audiences far beyond the classroom.  They “talk” to people from all around the country and world and share their lives and cultures.  I see an opportunity to grow both in knowledge of any and all subjects and misuse of this knowledge or sharing.   Teachers will be forced to spend more time discussing the evaluation of sources.   Every thought and opinion on any and every subject is out there.  What is a reliable source?  What is a professional source?  Great discussions on plagiarism and intellectual property will be of great need. 

 

Weblogs could provide a nice opportunity for teachers and students to show-off or share their work with others.   Blogs can show growth and assessment.  My world as a teacher has become a world of assessment and Weblogs could be an excellent assessment tool.
