Inquiry:Â Developing a Theme of Focus
One of my biggest concerns with student learning is the fact that students are unaware or unconcerned with their own learning. I am more successful as a teacher, at least within my own mind, when students take responsibility for their own learning and become active learners. They have to own the learning and I become more of a facilitator of learning guided by my content information and their desire to learn.   Dream world? Maybe, but learning seems to flourish when the general class attitude is one of student responsibility.  I need to develop systems of engagement to make the transition from teacher driven to student driven learning.
